Differentiators

Off-the-Chart Success Doesn’t Come from Off-the-Shelf Consultants

Sometimes it takes an outside perspective that leads to change and sets you up for future success. How do you get the competitive advantage that drives your organization forward?

There are a lot of business consultants. There are a lot of experts. But there aren't many that can bridge the gap between the two while tailoring your specific business needs. Business consultants will often hand you a plan and leave you to figure out how to apply it. Experts have a lot of knowledge but it is usually limited to one or two disciplines. Every organization has a vision and goals that cannot be approached with the same cookie cutter methodology.

At Mavenspire we work with you step by step along a path specific to your culture while applying expertise that comes from a wide range of disciplines. Mavenspire is a company of complements where opposites combine to create results that transform the sedentary and the struggling into the successful and superior.

Minimum Change

Change is a stressor. At the same time, change is required for growth. In any organization you have to manage change with a careful balance to keep yourself from being overwhelmed. Mavenspire looks for the minimum change required to achieve the maximum desired impact. Several small changes can yield a large effect and minimize the pain of getting to the end result. We work to create a path of small changes that lead step by step to the long range goal.

The focus on short term wins encourages the organization to keep going. At the same time these small changes match up with a long term action plan that has been carefully created for the specific goals and vision of the business. When you look at the graph of your business plan, we want you to be able to point to each point that leads to growth and say-- we know exactly what we will do here to make this happen. Mavenspire focuses our approach with the right team to work alongside our clients on one simple goal - traversing the path and ensuring success. We aspire to help our clients realize their full potential, step by step along the path. Our clients reach their goals with greater speed and better outcomes with our help.

Cultural Adoption

For many companies, the measure of success for a project is whether or not expected outcomes are visible and measurable in the short term. That is, of course, an important aspect of success — but it isn't the final ruler for us. How many projects ultimately fail because they seemed like a good idea to management or IT, but the individuals required to adopt changes didn't buy in? If you don't work with individuals in every tier of the organization to help them embrace a goal, success is likely to be severely limited. Short term results may not lead to large long term success. Mavenspire counts a project as a success when the changes are made AND there is buy in from all levels. Does a new process have five steps that the company really needs but employees are only implementing two? Our goal is to increase awareness, to foster interest, and to close the gap on true success — the full adoption and action by the entire team.

To this end, we routinely engage in discussions with individuals in all levels of the organization, provide job-based training and coaching, and continually evaluate how the implemented change is forwarding the overall goals of the business. Our training, based on proven theories of adult learning, focuses on teaching employees how and why the changes being implemented affect the overall business, how they relate to the goals of the organization, and how they affect each individual directly. Mavenspire seeks out individuals in all levels so that the organization will take ownership of its vision as one unit. We help people understand how they can get their job done better, faster, and easier while stressing the benefits that new strategies will have on the business. This type of training gives individuals a reason to want to adopt a new strategy, new technology or to change a process.

Results-Driven

Change doesn't make sense unless it gains you something, and you can't calculate your gains unless you lay out specific metrics. It's important to have a big vision. It's also important to have definitive goals that are S.M.A.R.T.* — Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-bound. We focus on small steps that lead to an effective implementation of your long-term plan. This is paired with short-term wins that let you know if the strategy is working according to plan. As we work with you to achieve your business goals, we want to make sure that, when everything is done and the dust has settled, you know that you're seeing success. To achieve this, we sit down and quantify the results you're expecting. This gives you a reliable ruler to measure the outcome and say, "Yes — we made it!"
