.Annapolis Linux Users Group Meetings to be Held at Mavenspire Office

Starting Monday, Sept 6th, 2009 the Annapolis Linux Users Group will be meeting at Mavenspire's office in Annapolis.

Our facility has high speed wireless and a place for more formal presentations.

Meeting Time: 7PM-9PM

Parking: There is a large empty lot east of the main section that has over 30 parking spots.

Digium Class in our New Headquarters!

Mavenspire is happy to announce that we have begun scheduling of classes in our offices in Annapolis. We are starting with a new Digium FastStart class! We are pleased to have such high demand already, and this is just the beginning of what we will be doing in Annapolis. With our state of the art video conferencing and training facilities, we're certain that our relationship with the Annapolis area community will continue to grow.

Its interesting to me the fuss the industry makes on Green Computing. Don't get me wrong - saving the planet is important; but in some ways this facination with Green IT begins to feel more like a trendy topic than a cause of substance. For me, there is a simple truth of Green IT initiatives that is the key to why you should investigate and implement. True green technologies are aimed, for the most part, at increasing the efficiency of resources, getting more for less, saving money and reducing costs, and making more profit.
