About Carisam Samuel Meisel
Carisam-Samuel Meisel (CSM) is a ship chandling business that has been in the industry for the past 17 years. They distribute goods for on-board consumption to cargo, commercial, and cruise ships, as well as airlines, diplomats, resorts and hotels. Some of their products include water, soda, wine, beer, liquor and tobacco. Carisam has duty-free stores located in Washington DC and Miami. Carisam's major customers include Carnival Corporation and Royal Caribbean International, and they supply about 117 cruise ships. CSM also services about 1,700 commercial and cargo ships, including tankers, freighters, and container ships. Contracts with major airlines include: American Airlines, US Airways, Lan Chile, Air Jamaica, Varig Brazilian, Avianca, Iberia, and many more. Some resort clientele are: Sandals, Atlantis, Club Med, and Four Seasons. CSM has its roots in the Baltimore / Washington DC area, when back in the 1920s they provided services to embassies and consulates.
